Not for Glory Nor Riches’ 100 years of The Royal Scots Club by Roddy Martine
The Trustees commissioned, author and RSC Member, Roddy Martine to write a book commemorating 100 years of The Royal Scots Club. ‘Not for Glory Nor Riches’ is so much more than just the inspiring story of a military Club which has adapted to modern times without losing sight of its original purpose – that of being a memorial to the soldiers for whom it was named. It is also a lively history that features some of the great characters of Scotland’s capital as well as Club members, visitors and those who have worked hard to make it the huge success it is today.
On Monday 11th March 2019, The Lord Provost, Councillor Frank Ross, received HRH The Princess Royal, Patron of The Royal Scots Club, at a ceremony to launch the Club’s centenary book. Every member of the Club is entitled to a free copy of the book, however we do ask that the book is collected from the Club. For those unable to collect the book, postage is payable.
To arrange the collection of the book or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Lauren on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0131 525 6157.
