HOW TO BOOK FOR

PRIVATE DINING

Whether you’d like to enjoy a personal Christmas dining experience with your friends and family or wrap up a busy 2024 with your work team, we offer a warm and welcoming venue for celebrating the holiday season! Private dining is available across a number of our enchanting rooms.

Our Club rooms are available for private hire for groups of 8 up to 160 for lunch and dinner from:

Saturday 30th November – Saturday 21st December (excluding Sundays)

Lunch bookings – £40pp

  • 3 courses and coffee
  • Full room access between 12 noon and 5pm

Dinner bookings – £40pp

  • 3 courses and coffee
  • Full room access between 6pm and 11pm

STEP ONE: YOUR ENQUIRY

Send our events team your Christmas Enquiry by emailing christmas@royalscotsclub.com or phoning 0131 525 6156 with the following information:

  • What date(s) are you looking for? Are they flexible?
  • What time?
  • How many guests will be attending?
  • What style of event are you looking to hold?
  • What room layout would you prefer?

We’ll send you a quote!

STEP TWO: CONFIRMATION

Your event will be confirmed upon receipt of your deposit – which is due within 72 hours of our quote. Deposits for parties of up to 50: £200. Deposits for parties over 50: £500. Deposits are non-refundable.

STEP THREE: FINALISE EVENT DETAILS

Our events team will liaise with you to check everything off your Christmas list!

We will require all of the below information 14 days before your event date:

  • A full pre-order
  • Drinks choices
    • Arrival drinks 
    • Drinks with meal
  • Final numbers
  • Completed table plan
  • Any dietary requirements
  • AV requirements
  • Accessibility requirements
STEP FOUR: BILLING

We will invoice you the estimated total bill 10 days before the event date.

This is to be paid no less than 5 days before the event and any extras can be settled on departure.

Celebrate Christmas a little more casually with our ‘Cocktails and Canapés’ package in our newly furnished Underground Bar. Choose from our list of delicious bespoke Christmas-themed cocktails and mouthwatering canapes in our cosy new addition! Ideal for office parties, family get-togethers, and nights out to celebrate with friends, you’ll love the atmosphere and versatility of this bar.

Suitable for up to 20 attendees.

Looking to host some pre-dinner drinks? Planning a festive bar crawl throughout The New Town? Our beautiful Ellesmere Room sets the bar high and is sure to impress your guests. Select from our Christmas drinks list to build out your preorder – add canapes and or one of our tasting masterclass experiences to keep the night going!

Ideal for groups of friends and families, corporate and office dinners, or as part of your dining experience. Suitable for up to 40 attendees.

MASTERCLASS

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

MINIMUM NUMBERS

Certain rooms and dates require minimum numbers. These will be quoted at time of enquiry if they apply. The minimum numbers charged for will be the total numbers given to us 5 days before the event date.

CANCELLATION

If you have to cancel your confirmed booking, we reserve the right to retain the deposit, along with the following cancellation charges:

Within 4 weeks – 40% of estimated total value.

Within 1 week – 60% of estimated total value.

72 hours prior – 100% of estimated total value.

DAMAGE

The Hirer shall pay for any loss or damage to any part of the venue premises, or to any fixtures, fittings & equipment which are caused by the Hirer or guest or paid suppliers. We will not be held responsible for damage to any article brought onto the premises.

SOUND LICENSING

As a city centre venue, we have to comply with noise licensing laws. Both our suites are fitted with noise limiters which limit live entertainment to 90 decibels. Please discuss this with any entertainment upon booking.

LIQUOR LICENSING

Scottish Licensing Law allows for a 15-minute drinking up period at the close of business. The consumption of alcohol after this time is an offence. All guests should vacate the premises within 30 minutes of closing time. It is an offence to refuse to leave the premises when asked to do so by a member of staff.

Our licensing operating times are: 11.00 am to midnight
