Join us for our much-anticipated annual Summer Garden Party, a beloved tradition at The Royal Scots Club! Set amidst the stunning Queen Street Gardens East, this exclusive evening promises a delightful escape in the middle of the city.
Indulge in a summer evening of relaxed elegance, perfectly tailored for our esteemed members and their guests. As you mingle in the beautiful surroundings, you’ll be treated to live music performed by harpist Gwen Màiri, specially curated food, and a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow members.
Gwen Màiri is a graduate of the RSAMD. Her varied freelance career includes performing at events, festivals and work with professionals orchestras. Recent highlights include the Tour de France launch event at Edinburgh Castle, Dior Cruise 25 at Drummond Castle, a travelling residency as part of the British Underground delegation to Womex 25 in Finland, and the launch of the Richard Mille Cup 2026 at Culzean Castle. Gwen has released two of her own albums (Mentro and Douze Noëls) and is also one third of the Gwilym Bowen Rhys Trio.
An enthusiastic educator, Gwen Màiri has a wealth of harp teaching experience at schools, universities, in workshops and on courses. She has published four collections of traditional music for harp and her arrangements and compositions are included in syllabuses for ABRSM, Trinity, the Royal National Mòd and RCS graded exams.
