TERMS AND CONDITIONS

OF GIFTED MEMBERSHIPS

  1. Role of the Proposer
    • By submitting a Gift Membership application, you (the “Purchaser”) agree to act as the formal Proposer/Reference for the intended recipient. 
    • You agree to serve as the primary point of contact for the Royal Scots Club (RSC) regarding any queries related to this application until the membership is finalised. 
  1. Application, Processing, and Approval
    • All Gift Memberships are subject to the review and approval of the RSC Membership Committee and will undergo standard processing timelines. 
    • The Club reserves the right to decline an application. In the event an application is declined by the Committee, any fees paid will be refunded in full to the Purchaser. 
    • Please note that Gift Memberships are not available for Life Membership applicants unless the recipient is currently an active member of the Club with a tenure of no less than three (3) consecutive years. 
    • If the intended recipient is already an active member of the Club, please do not use this form; instead, contact the Membership Team directly at membership@royalscotsclub.com. 
  1. Payment and Fees
    • The cost of the Gift Membership includes both the Joining Fee and the Annual Subscription for the first year. 
    • Upon submission of this form, the Membership Secretary will issue a digital payment link via email to complete the application. If you prefer an alternative method of payment, please contact membership@royalscotsclub.com. 
  1. Communication and Privacy
    • To preserve the nature of the gift, the RSC will not contact the recipient directly until the application has been formally approved, or until the specific notification date requested by the Purchaser in this application. 
  1. Activation and Acceptance of Membership
    • Activation Requirement: Membership is not automatically active upon payment. The application must be approved by the Membership Committee and the recipient must contact the Membership Secretary upon receipt of membership to activate their membership.
    • Time Limit: The recipient must activate their membership within 30 days of the approval date or the date of gift notification. Failure to activate within this window may require the application to be re-submitted. 
    • Term: The membership is valid for a period of one (1) year commencing from the date of Activation. 
    • Renewal: Upon the expiration of the gifted year, the recipient will assume full responsibility for all future subscription payments and renewals. 
  1. Fulfilment and Add-ons
    • Once approved, the Membership Pack will be physically mailed to the recipient. 
    • If you wish to purchase RSC Shop items to be included within the joining pack, please indicate your preferences in the application form or via email to the Membership Secretary. Additional charges will apply for shop items and shipping.
