ABOUT THE CONCERT
This will be an evening of joyous celebration with a spirit of freedom and solidarity in dedication to Ukraine.
The concert will take place in our Princess Royal Suite which will be adorned with a beautiful grand piano exclusively for the black-tie occasion. Attendees will be welcomed with a drinks reception and delicious canapés where they can meet with our performers and rub shoulders with guests of honour representing Edinburgh’s diplomatic corps.
A limited number of VIP packages are available to Members-only and include a private drinks reception, meet and greet with the musicians, and reserved show seating in the front two rows.
Members are welcome to invite non-member friends and family at Member rates but seating is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
Our Spring Opening Concert is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the finest of Opera from the UK’s leading concert professionals in the comfort of your Club. This concert is the beginning of a delightful year of musical events at the Club and we look forward to seeing you in attendance.
ABOUT THE MUSICIANS
Sopranno Inna Husieva
Inna Husieva is a Ukrainian soprano based in London and a Scottish Opera Emerging Artist for the 2023-24 season. She is an alumna of the National Opera Studio (2021-22), during which she performed on the stages of English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera North and Cadogan Hall.
In summer 2024, she stepped into the title role of Alcina for Bampton Classical Opera. Inna made her Royal Opera House debut covering Helena in Mark-Anthony Turnage’s world premiere of Festen at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in early 2025. Recent highlights include her debut as Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto with IFOpera in August 2025.
Concert Pianist Julia Wallin
Julia Wallin, award winning UK based Finnish concert pianist, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, US and UK and won prizes in several competitions such as Royal Academy of Music’s prestigious Wilfrid Parry competition and Poleeni Lied Piano Competition.
Wallin has performed as a concerto soloist with Gramophone awarded Sinfonia Lahti, Slaithwaite Philharmonic, Sigyn Sinfonietta etc. to great critical acclaim.
