ABOUT THE BEATING RETREAT

A classic and beloved event at The Royal Scots Club featuring welcome drinks and 3-course dinner.

Guest of Honour Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Right Honourable Lord Provost and Lord Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh will be taking The Salute. The Beating Retreat will start at 19:00.

The Lowland & Highland Reserve Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland and The Royal Scots Association Pipe Bands will perform from 19:00 along Abercromby Place.

Members and their guests then join us from 19:30 pm for a delicious 3-course dinner inside The Royal Scots Club to conclude the celebration.

Note: Abercromby Place from Dundas Street junction to Nelson Street junction and Nelson Street will be closed to traffic from 17:00 – 20:00 on Saturday 6th June.

Dress code: Male attendees are encouraged to wear lounge suits, or a suit with regimental tie. Women are encouraged to wear a formal summer-style dress (hats not required).
