ABOUT THE HIGHLIGHT TOUR

10am – Meet at National Galleries of Scotland: Portrait at 1 Queen St, Edinburgh EH2 1JD

Guests will enjoy a private tour of the stunning Portrait Gallery which is often described as a neo-gothic palace. With its stained-glass windows, incredible astrological ceiling, painted murals and neo-gothic architecture, this gallery is home to portraits depicting famous Scots from royals and rebels to poets and heroes.

Enjoy the chance to be guided around this wonderful Gallery and gain fascinating insights into the works on display whilst hearing about the history of the first purpose built Portrait Gallery.

11:15am – Return to The Royal Scots Club

After your Highlight Tour, make your way back to The Scott Room at the Club where you will be welcomed with tea/coffee and pastries in an informal setting. Here you can enjoy the company of your fellow members from the tour group and chat about your recent experience over refreshments.

At 11:45am your hot brunch will be served. You have a choice of Eggs Benedict (bacon) or Eggs Florentine (spinach).
