We held our wedding breakfast and reception at the Royal Scots Club in April and couldn’t have asked for better service. Ayesha and all the staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful from our very first visit and gave us and our guests a wonderful day. It’s a beautiful venue with so many great photo opportunities and comfy reception space. The food was absolutely delicious and has been complimented by lots of our guests. The day ran like clockwork and we can’t thank them enough! Andrew and Rachael

We held our wedding reception at the Royal Scots Club, and it was fantastic! Ayesha was just brilliant. Living hundreds of miles away meant planning our Edinburgh wedding from the south of England could have been quite tricky, but Ayesha kept in contact regularly with us both, promptly replying to emails, and she was always willing to fit us in at short notice whenever we were visiting Edinburgh.

The staff on the day of the wedding were great, so friendly and accommodating, and the day ran very smoothly. Our guests all commented on how delicious the food was and all had a great time.
Thank you to all at the RSC (especially Ayesha) for making our day such a memorable one.
We had our reception at the Royal Scots Club and it was amazing! The venue managed to be both impressive and incredibly welcoming to all our guests. One of the highlights is definitely having the use of Queen Street Gardens for photographs. It’s just wonderful to have wooded outdoor wedding photos despite literally being in the centre of Edinburgh. The rooms are very grand and look fantastic in photos. We made use of the Library bar for a drinks reception with canapes, then we were smoothly ushered to the wedding breakfast in the Hepburn Suite before the final move in the evening for dancing in the Princess Royal Suite. The food (the bits I managed to eat whilst running between groups of guests) was excellent. There’s such a great range between the meal packages, as well as varied vegetarian and child-friendly options. Because we had a separate room for dinner and dancing, it meant that the band that we had hired had plenty of time to set up prior to the guests arriving. The whole day was seamless.
For a few months prior to the wedding, we had regular meetings with Ayesha (wedding coordinator) to discuss what we wanted from the day. All the little details we had discussed were arranged on the day with no fuss by the RSC staff so there was no stress for myself or the bridesmaids. Many of our guests raved about how wonderful the staff were. I certainly found all the staff members I interacted with extremely friendly, accommodating and professional. The club members were similarly very welcoming.
My husband and I had a wonderful day, and can’t recommend the Royal Scots Club enough as a wedding venue!

We held our wedding reception at the Royal Scots Club in October 2016 and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The events organiser Ayesha is great and we met with her regularly to go over all the fine details to make our day run smoothly. We used the Members Library for our drinks reception, the Hepburn suite for our wedding breakfast and then our evening reception in the Princess Royal suite. It was great to use the three different areas for each part of our day and meant there was no waiting around and our guests could move on easily to the next room. We were also able to use the private Queen St Gardens to.l get our wedding photos take which was a beautiful setting.
We had a fantastic wedding, and all of our guests had a great time thanks to the fantastic venue and the lovely staff. The manager on the day, Lauren, was amazing and really made us feel relaxed about everything and the day ran perfectly.
We also stayed in the hotel and stayed in one of the stunning four-poster bedrooms and some of our family also stayed and we had our breakfast all together in a private area the next morning which was really special.
It was the perfect venue for our wedding day and I will never forget it.

What a delightful venue for a wedding the Royal Scots Club is. A little piece of Edinburgh history and tradition, it is beautifully modernised for all comforts and requirements. We enjoyed using different rooms for each part of the day from the cosiness of the wood panelled Library for the drinks reception to the striking Hepburn Suite for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and the spacious Princess Royal Suite for the evening ceilidh. Both families chose to get ready for the wedding at the Club and we have some beautiful photos taken against the stylish décor of the bedrooms and public rooms. Access to Queen Street Gardens gave us the opportunity for stunning outdoor photos.
As well as the setting, the staff at the Royal Scots Club made the day really special for us. Ayesha, the wedding co-ordinator, was just wonderful. Unfailingly friendly and welcoming, she helped us to plan the sort of day we all hoped it would be and was always there to answer the smallest of questions or to give practical advice. The day itself ran smoothly and seamlessly and we were left free to enjoy every moment with nothing left to chance. The food was excellent throughout – tasty canapes for the drinks reception, a delicious wedding breakfast and tempting trays of fruit and savoury snacks for the evening buffet. A large number of our party stayed at the Club for one, two or three nights and everyone spoke warmly of the lovely rooms, the great breakfast and the helpfulness of staff.
The Royal Scots Club offered a warm and intimate atmosphere for our daughter’s wedding and created for us all the happiest of days. It was also extremely good value for money. We are delighted to recommend it.

We had our wedding here on the 5th September 2015 and absolutely loved it. I want to mention we arranged the whole wedding while living in Germany but Ayesha made sure this was no issue and she fitted our appointments around our trips back. The customer service was incredible! We had lots of people with food intolerance's and allergies but this didn't faze them at all. Guests afterwards mentioned that it was the best vegan food they have ever eaten. I stayed in the honeymoon suite the night before as well as on the night which was actually a really great idea to be able to enjoy it properly with my bridal party. Guests also mentioned how gorgeous the venue was and loved all the military history. Would 100% recommend this place to people looking for a wedding venue or somewhere to stay or even just somewhere to eat.

We just had our wedding at the Royal Scots Club and it was absolutely perfect, exactly what we wanted. We worked with Ayesha Longley, the events coordinator, who was so helpful and extremely organised, which given that we were planning the wedding from England, made things much easier to organise. She also recommended some fantastic vendors all of whom were fantastic and whom I would highly recommend. The Royal Scots Club was brilliant at every stage - the planning process was so easy, and Ayesha guided us through everything we needed to do and decide. On the day, the food was fantastic (and one of the waiters even found me a little tray of hors d'oeurves when we came back from taking our photos). The two duty managers were very helpful and made the day run incredibly smoothly. I think the Royal Scots Club is a fantastic venue and I would absolutely recommend it, both for the venue itself (beautiful and with fantastic food) and for the staff (particularly Ayesha). Considering the amazing wedding we go, the price was very reasonable and I think is very good value for money. We would highly recommend the Royal Scots Club!
